Diet during Covid & Fever

Digestive Health during Covid & Other Fever Conditions.

  1. Loss of Appetite, Less Taste or No Taste,
  2. No Interest to Eat (Anorexia), Low Digestion,
  3. Other Abdominal complaints and
  4. Loss of Smell which again makes difficult to eat food.

 

List of Healthy, Easily Digestable foods.

  1. Sweet or Slightly Spicy Greengram / Moong soup, semi-solid with a little tinge of Coconut milk.
  2. Lentil / Masoor soup prepared just as above.
  3. Very much Semisolid / Liquid Ragi (Nachni) porridge prepared without Milk or with little added Coconut milk.
  4. Lahya. Wondering what’s it’s called in proper english, but made out of unpolished rice, as shown in 3rd picture below, this food particle works very well in Fever and also in post fever conditions.
  5. Sweet Anjir Water, or say Litely prepared Sarbat. Whereas Sarbat contains thick fruit fibres & Pulp, Sarbat contains more of watery part. Just like Anjir, Raisins may also be used or even both may be used together.

 

Following items shouldn’t be used in Fever.

Fruit Juice, Tender Coconut Water, Noodles, Veg soup, Chapati, Rice plate, Rice gruel (Pez) if there’s Cough, Plegm or Wheezing, Toasts, Biscuits, Beverages, Lemon water and Dry Fruits.
